OUTREMER 49 - European Yacht of the Year 2010

On Saturday January 23rd, day one of the Düsseldorf Boat Show, it was time to know the results for the European Yacht of the Year Awards. Gathered by the German Sailing Magazine 'Yacht', 11 journalists, coming from all over Europe, tested in November the nominated yachts, and elected the Outremer 49 as the European Yacht of the Year 2010! Just two years after the gathering with Allures Yachting, and when at the same time the Hull N°1 was arriving on the other side of the Atlantic sailing the last days at 12 knts in average per day, it's a fantastic reward for all the work accomplished to make the fantastic Outremer concept going ahead again. Many thanks to all who worked hard on this project: conceptors (Barreau - Neuman architects, The Franck Darnet Design team, and the Outremer Yachting Design Strudio), the production staff who worked hard this summer to deliver in time a beautiful boat, and last, but not least, all the owners who chose the Outremer 49 to accomplish their dream!
